Rain at last.

I don't mention much from my home base [ Washington state ] on this blog so here is a quick break from the posts on Tibet. [ I hope to post a bit more on Tibet soon ]

It has been raining here almost non stop for the last 5 days.
To an addicted kayaker such as myself rain is something we pray for and when it comes the excitement and anticipation of finally having water in the rivers is like looking forward to ....... well, ya know there's nothing I look forward to as much as this.
All the rain brought the White salmon river to a bank full flow [ 6 feet on the Husum gauge ]
I took advantage today by freestyle kayaking on Rattlesnake rapids wave, which goes off at this flow. Big air was possible, the only problem being large logs floating downstream which were hard to see from wave level.
A great day and it's still raining !
